No OnePlus 3 ‘Mini’ confirms Carl Pei
NEW DELHI: Recently a smartphone with specifications similar to the newly-launched OnePlus 3 appeared on GFXBench benchmark site, featuring a 4.6-inch screen. The device is reportedly powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 CPU with Adreno 530 GPU, 6GB of RAM, 64GB internal memory along with a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.
Given the similarity of the unknown device with the OnePlus 3, the tech rumour mill was quick to hint at a possible launch of OnePlus 3 ‘Mini’. As last year, after the OnePlus 2 was launched, similar mini version of the device was spotted which later turned out to be OnePlus X smartphone. The rumour mill also claimed that if the unknown device is the not OnePlus 3 Mini, it could be the next OnePlus X smartphones.

However, it seems like all rumours around OnePlus 3 ‘Mini’ are false. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has come out in public to confirm that the company is not working on device like OnePlus 3 Mini. Pei through his official Twitter handle quoted one such rumour story and mention “No. #rumorshutdown (sic).”
OnePlus is releasing another update for its latest smartphone OnePlus 3. The version OxygenOS v3.2.2 is the second update since the smartphone was launched in early June. The update promises an 'improved notification management in Doze' and offers some security patches.
The update is seen as an incremental rollout, which means it will be rolled out to users in phases. So, worry not, it should reach your device too in some time.
It is, however, not clear if the update addresses the battery drain issue being faced by some users. According to many users, they have been experiencing battery troubles since updating to OxygenOS 3.2.1.
