MSI launches ‘world’s first’ laptop series with NVIDIA GTX 10 series GPUs in India
NEW DELHI: MSI (Micro Star International) has launched what it claims to be the world’s first range of gaming laptops featuring Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 10 series of GPUs. The new gaming rigs - GT83VR 6RE Titan SLI, GT72VR 6RE Dominator Pro Tobii, GS63VR 6RF Stealth Pro and GE62VR 6RF Apache Pro are priced starting at Rs 3,37,900, Rs 2,35,000, Rs 1,77,900 and Rs 1,46,900 respectively.
The MSI GT83VR 6RE Titan SLI features an enhanced Cherry MX mechanical keyboard and Steel Series Engine 3 Macro Keys setup. It includes Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 and 1070 SLI dual GPUs. The laptop also has MSI’s Matrix Display technology that supports Surround View Mode, along with 3x4K@60Hz output for 3 external displays. It is powered by an over-clocked Core i7 K series CPU. Needless to say, the rig is VR ready.
As for the GT72VR Dominator Pro Tobii, it boasts an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 GPU (with 8GB DDR5 RAM) for an enhanced VR experience, with HTC Vive optimized performance. It also has Dyn enhanced audio output, Nahimic 2 and Audio Boost 2 apps. The 17.3-inch laptop comes in Full HD and 4K resolution options. To dissipate heating, the laptop makes use of Cooler Boost 4 technology.
MSI’s GS63VR Stealth Pro is a Windows 10-based laptop, whose graphics are handled by an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB GDDR5 RAM) GPU. It comes with 15.6-inch screen size of Full HD or 4K resolution options. The laptop has Cooler Boost Trinity tech that consists of 5 heat pipes and enhanced Whirlwind Blade fans. Powered by an Intel Skylake Core-i7 processor, the Stealth Pro, like others, too has Steel Series keyboard, Nahimic 2 sound software and Dyn enhanced speakers.
Lastly, the MSI GS63VR Apache Pro largely features the same specifications as its ‘Stealth Pro’ version, except for the Cooler Boost 4 technology and a few changes in the connectivity options. More details about the laptops can be found on the company's website.
MSI also added that these models feature the ‘Dragon Center’ software. Fan speeds could be manually adjusted, and X-Boost is enabled for faster access to SSDs.
