Lenovo has rolled out
Android Marshmallow
update to its
Vibe S1
smartphone in India. Lenovo India's head of product and marketing, Anuj Sharma, shared the news on microblogging website Twitter.
A notification will pop up on users' smartphones once the new software is ready to download and install. The download is reportedly 1.6GB in size, so it's better that one updates the software on Wi-Fi connection.
Lenovo's first smartphone with two front-facing cameras, Vibe S1 also received a price cut recently. The smartphone which was launched for Rs 15,999 is now available at Rs 12,999 on Amazon. This is the second price cut for the device.
On specifications front, the Vibe S1 sports a 5-inch full HD IPS LCD display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It's powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 processor paired with 3GB RAM. There's 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
The smartphone has a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP main front-facing shooter along with a 2MP secondary front camera.
Recently,
Lenovo also rolled out Android Marshmallow update for A7000, K3 Note, and Vibe P1 smartphones in the country.
