Huawei Honor 5A smartphone to launch on June 12

NEW DELHI: Huawei is all set to launch its latest smartphone Honor 5A in China. The Chinese manufacturer posted a teaser of the yet to be launched smartphone on social network Weibo, slated to be officially announced on June 12. The handset was also recently spotted on certification site TENAA.

Talking about the specifications, the Huawei Honor 5A flaunts a 5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixel resolution. It is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with Huawei’s Emotion UI baked on top.

Honor 5A offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It also has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing shooter. The phone is backed by a 2,200 mAh battery.

Huawei recently launched Honor V8, the first smartphone is the company's new V line-up. Huawei Honor V8 is powered by a 2.5GHz octa-core Kirin 950 CPU paired with 4GB of RAM. It has a 5.7-inch display that comes in two resolution variants - Full HD with 1080x1920 pixel and Quad HD with 1440x2560 pixel. There’s also 32GB/64GB of in-built storage, further expandable via microSD card.

The smartphone has dual rear cameras, each 12MP in resolution and having laser autofocus and dual LED flash as well. The front facing camera is an 8MP unit. The rear panel also houses the fingerprint sensor which can be used to take photos and access the notifications as well.
