NEW DELHI: Taiwanese manufacturer
HTC
is reportedly all set to launch successor to its
HTC One A9
smartphone launched last year.
According to a report in Venture Beat, company will be unveiling the handset ahead of
IFA 2016
.
HTC One A9s is said to sport a similar design as One A9, this includes fingerprint sensor on the home button and metal unibody. Incidentally, HTC One A9 was widely termed as
'iPhone 6 copy' in terms of design.
The smartphone is expected to come in White, Black, Gold and Bluish Silver colour options.
Other speculated specifications of the
smartphone include 13MP rear camera, 4-ultrapixel front facing camera. The camera lenses, flash and sensors are said to have been re-positioned.
In May, HTC launched its flagship smartphone HTC 10 in India at Rs 52,990. The smartphone sports a 5.2-inch QHD super LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixel and Gorilla Glass protection. It runs
Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Sense UI and mounts a 12MP UltraPixel f/1.8 camera at the back along with a 5MP A/F selfie shooter.
Boasting a metal unibody design, it supports 4G connectivity and is powered by HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi Edition with
Dolby Audio
along with a 3,000 mAh battery. It includes a USB Type-C port and a fingerprint scanner at the bottom bezel area.
As for the storage, the
HTC 10 comes in 32GB and 64GB variants. The HTC 10 Lifestyle comes in 32GB variant only. Both versions support microSD card of up to 2TB. The handset will be available in Glacier Silver and Carbon Grey colour variants.
