Google’s Inbox app updated with Google Drive, Trello and GitHub support

NEW DELHI: Google has rolled out an update for its Inbox by Gmail app. The update adds integration for numerous services such as Google Drive, Trello and GitHub in the app, allowing users to organize their emails in a better manner and improve overall productivity.

With the update, users will be able to get regular updates from project management app Trello. Support for GitHub allows for better email notifications. This will also allow users to get complete summary of what is new with their Trello projects. Similarly, GitHub users will get a summary of code changes and issues filed for every repository.

Along with this, Inbox by Gmail is making alerts more like a new letter and the ability to expand them for revealing more information. Users will also be able to archive the notifications by swiping them right and marking them as ‘Done’.

Lastly, the app will support Google Drive integration, allowing users to insert Drive links directly in emails. Google says that users will be able to adjust permissions for the Drive links as well.

This update is available for Inbox by Gmail on Android, iOS and Web.

In April, Google rolled out three key changes for its Inbox by Gmail app, including events, glanceable newsletters and saved links.
