Google’s Gboard keyboard app now available for iOS users in India, Australia and UK

NEW DELHI: Search engine giant Google recently released its new keyboard app – Gboard, for iOS users in the US. It lets users search and send information, GIFs, emoji and more, directly from the keyboard. And now the company has made Gboard available in several other countries as well, including India, Australia and UK.

Gboard includes the search prowess of Google. That said, it’s surprising that the keyboard isn’t available on Android yet.


The best feature of Gboard has to be its built-in search functionality. The tool comes in really handy when you want to search for information while chatting. What's more, it also lets you search GIFs and emojis quickly.

Gboard is gesture-based, and hence makes one-handed typing really easy. Android users are already familiar with Google's word prediction and how well it performs, and Gboard makes the same available to iOS users.


The app can send usage statistics anonymously to Google, thus helping to detect problems like crashes.
