Dropbox Paper available as open beta on Android and iOS
NEW DELHI: Dropbox has made Paper, its online document creation and collaboration tool, available on iOS and Android as an open beta. Paper is aimed at increasing productivity by helping users create collaborative documents and share important information easily.
Earlier, Dropbox Paper was only available to a limited number of teams as a private beta. With the open beta, the app has been updated with additional features like tables, image galleries, improved search as well as desktop, web and mobile notifications. Paper’s mobile apps are now available on iOS and Android and allow users to get project updates, make edits, respond to feedback and more on the go.
Users can connect their Google Calendar to the app to create and share custom notes automatically. Along with this, users can also create a checklist and assign tasks to others by adding “@” and a team member’s name.
In order to use Paper, users first have to sign up for the Dropbox Paper beta program and then download the app.
Recently, Microsoft rolled out a beta version of its Flow task automation app for Android. Flow is essentially a web tool that automates actions across some of the major web services, similar to IFTTT.
Flow enables users to connect apps and services and automate their actions to ease their workflow. It also lets users set up automated 'recipes' to execute actions on services like Twitter, Dropbox, Google Drive, Slack, OneDrive, Facebook , YouTube and more.
With Flow, users can set up notifications across platforms, sync folders in programs and even automate software approvals. The beta Android app, however, does not allow users to create a new Flow recipe or delete existing ones.
