BBK Electronics launches its “imoo” new smartphone brand
NEW DELHI: BBK Electronics, a Chinese tech firm, has launched its new brand called “imoo”. The new brand was teased in an image on Weibo, a Chinese micro-blogging website.
The newly formed company is said to launch an education focused smartphone, the details about which are scarce at the moment. The first smartphone is called as the “imoo learning phone,” and it will launch on June 24 in China. The teaser images hint the phone as having a metal unibody design.
For those unaware, BBK Electronics specializes in marketing electronic products like TVs, MP3 players, Blu-ray discs and more.
If you are into gadgets and technology, you most probably have heard about these Chinese smartphone brands - Oppo, Vivo and OnePlus. Interestingly, all these three companies are the subsidiaries of BBK Electronics.
BBK Electronics plans to focus on students as the target consumers for its “imoo learning phone”. This is not new for the firm as its sub-brands like Oppo, Vivo and OnePlus also focus on delivering value-for-money handsets.
OnePlus recently launched its OnePlus 3 flagship in the market. It comes as a successor to the OnePlus 2, launched last year.
Like the OnePlus 2, the OnePlus 3 also features a slider on the side to easily switch between - priority alert and silent modes. The smartphone also boasts a metal build.
