NEW DELHI: Taiwanese major Asus is all set to unveil its
Zenfone 3
smartphone series in India. The Taiwanese tech giant has sent out press invites for an event, titled 'Asus Z3NVOLUTION', scheduled to take place in New Delhi on August 17.
TOI Tech has learnt that Asus is likely to launch its Zenfone 3 Deluxe smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor at the event. There is no word on the pricing of the device as of yet. However, the device is priced at $755 globally.
Asus had recently launched the Zenfone 3 series at Computex 2016 held in June this year. Zenfone 3 Deluxe model is the world's first to run on Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 821 processor, released late last month. The company also has a variant that runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.
On the specifications front, Zenfone 3 Deluxe comes with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Rest of the specs remain the same as the regular Zenfone 3 Deluxe with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.
The handset flaunts a metal unibody design and will come in Titanium Gray, Glacier Silver and Sand Gold colour options. It features a 5.7-inch Full HD display with 1080x1920 pixel resolution.
Zenfone 3 Deluxe offers dual-sim functionality and sports a 23MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, along with an 8MP front snapper. It also has TriTech auto-focus system which automatically selects the second-generation laser and phase detection and also supports 4K video recording.
The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type-C as connectivity options. It also incorporates a fingerprint sensor and is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge support.
