Apple made numerous important announcements at its recently concluded Worldwide Developers Conference (

) 2016, held in

San Francisco

. Out of those, one that will surely be welcomed by many users is that

iOS

10 allows in-built apps to be deleted. This would be immensely helpful for users to gain some extra space on their devices.

    Until now, iPhones and iPads have come pre-installed with their own collection of apps which are impossible to delete and thus keep hogging space, even if they are not required.

    But, starting from iOS 10, Apple will enable its users to remove those default apps.

    The company also posted a complete list of apps that can be uninstalled, on its official website. The list includes almost all standard apps, except for Phone, Messages and some others. However, Apple has also said that deleting some system apps might affect the normal functioning of the iOS device.

      The document further states that in iOS 10, apps are designed to be space efficient. Deleting these apps would allow users to free up to 150MB of space on their iOS devices.
      As the feature is a part of iOS 10, it is only available to developers as of now. However, it will come to general users when iOS 10 reaches general availability later this year.
