Airtel Platinum 3G is powered by dual spectrum bands -- 900 Mhz along with 2100 Mhz. The service does not require any additional subscription and is part of the company’s network enhancement programme.
Airtel Platinum 3G will help optimize the backend engagement between the network and mobile devices, thus allowing customers to enjoy extended battery life on their mobile devices.
“The launch of Platinum 3G will deliver enhanced voice as well as data connectivity for customers on 3G as we continue to roll out 4G services in the state,” said C Surendran, CEO, Karnataka, Bharti Airtel Limited.
Airtel has recently commenced the implementation of its nationwide network transformation programme called Project Leap. With a planned investment of Rs 60,000 crore over the next three years, Airtel’s Project Leap is a strategic company initiative aimed at improving its network quality.
