Airtel launches Platinum 3G services in Assam
GUWAHATI: India’s largest telecommunications services provider Airtel has announced the launch of its Platinum 3G services in 60 towns across Assam. Airtel Platinum 3G is powered by dual spectrum band – 900 MHz and 2100 MHz. The company claims that it will deliver a superior customer experience through faster mobile internet speeds, significantly enhanced indoor coverage and better voice clarity
Additionally, Airtel Platinum 3G will help optimize the backend engagement between the network and mobile devices, thus allowing customers to enjoy extended battery life on their mobile devices. Platinum 3G doesn’t require additional subscription and is part of the network enhancement of Airtel’s existing 3G network.
Airtel Platinum 3G services are currently available in Guwahati, Silchar, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Tezpur, Tinsukia, Sibsagar, Bongaigaon, Duliajan, Nagaon, Hajo, North Lakhimpur, Barpeta, Rangia, Nalbari, Dhemaji, Karimganj, Haflong, Margherita, Nazira, Bokakhat, Udalguri, Makum, Naharkatiya, Marigaon, Hailakandi, Namrup, Tangla, Mangaldoi, Sarupathar, Chabua, Silapathar, Changsari, Sonari, Lido, Rupahi, Jagiroad, Titabor, Borgolai, Kharupetia, Bokajan, Kokrajhar, Doboka, Howraghat, Barpathar, Biswanath Chariali, Doomdooma, Dhing, Raha, Mahur, Goreswar, Lakhipur, Badarpur, Lala, Digboi, Lanka, Teok, Baihata, Amguri and Kalaigaon.
The company recently commenced the implementation of its network transformation program “Project Leap”.
