It is a very special bond that I share with God. Right from my childhood there have been extremely trying moments when only faith in the Almighty saw me through.
Singing therefore is way to reach out to Him.Like everyone else, I too pray but due to the hectic schedule that I keep, it doesn���t happen quite often. In fact, all musicians are connected to a superior strength that they believe in ��� a state where an external presence is almost palpable. However, prayers don���t happen quite often, but whenever I can, I do visit temples or holy sites.
Spirituality for me is my connection to the self. In the frenzy of day-to-day life that is one relation I strive hard to retain. And every time there is a live show and the audiences cheer for me, I feel absolutely blessed. Those are the moments that I really cherish. Money is a motivation to work on but only till a certain time. After that, it is what you take and give back to life.
On the path to stardom, the fame hits you hard initially and you are completely ecstatic. That is when one tends to lose touch with reality, but then I have matured over the years. Today, it���s about doing outstanding work that helps me stay grounded. And it helps to remember that someone up there is watching you all the time and whatever you do it would be difficult to escape those vigilant eyes.
