we have a one-day show where we exhibit our range and at the same time have a dealer meet. the focus in these shows is our language software, which is how the name sanskriti was adopted. please elaborate? the main agenda of the roadshows is 'spreading it to the heart of india'. at present, only english-speaking people are using computers and becoming itsavvy, and this segment is getting saturated. a huge potential exists in the non-english speaking segment, provided the software exists. this software is being created by modular infotech, now a part of our company. it offers applications such as ms word, excel and power point in 11 indian languages. even the keyboard is multilingual as is our new range of printers. our new machine for cash transactions, sprint, (can be used in any store where cash transactions take place), has nine languages fed into it. since exhibiting language solutions was our thrust we opted for the name sanskriti. has the roadshow achieved its objectives? response in cities like bhopal, delhi etc where we have already exhibited has been beyond our expectations, but chandigarh has been a bit slow. however, our target is not the masses but corporate set-ups and government departments (their paperwork needs to be in the state language). if you look at this niche then we have achieved our objectives. why do you think response in the city has been slow? we are a chennai-based company and opened our office in the city only in 1999, yet full-fledged operations have started just in the past year. now we are in touch with government departments regularly, and as departments are talking of e-governance and ecommerce, we feel our software will become all the more popular now.
