NESCAFÉ and MTV have joined hands to create a digital-only talent platform for aspiring artists called MTV presents NESCAFÉ LABS.
The MTV presents NESCAFÉ LABS serves as a destination for creative people looking for inspiration. It is open 24x7 to anyone across India to showcase their talent. The LABS provide best mentors and resources from the industry to hone the creative talent of participants and also a stage to showcase it.
As part of the platform, different talents will be classified in three different categories: Music, Film and Others:
* Music: If you strike all the right chords in any talent related to music like Instrumentalist, Vocalist, Rapper, Drummer, Songwriter, DJ, Composer etc.
* Film: If you have many stories to tell. Talent can be like Actor, Director, Editor, Cinematographer, Hairstylist, Visual effect, lighting artist,
* Others: If you have a talent in any form like photography, painter, comedian, poet, Dancer, graphic designer, skateboarder etc.
Based on the voting by the community which has more than 35,000+ talented users and the MTV Jury, each month top 5 entries from each category will get featured on the Wall of Fame. These talented individuals will be promoted by MTV and MTV Indies platform (TV, social and web). One entry from the Wall of Fame will get a chance to be part of MTV shows.
Meet Aseem Trivedi: The Cover Singer Challenge Winner
In December, 2015, MTV presents NESCAFÉ LABS opened up the Cover Singer Challenge which had music singer and composer Papon as the mentor. The campaign received more than 6,000 entries on its online platform. The top 7 finalist from across India, having diversified talent, got a change to perform in front of Papon and Mithoon at Mood Indigo at IIT Mumbai. Aseem was adjudged as the winner in this epic battle of the talented singers.
