Friday Night SmackDown is only a few hours away. This week’s episode of SmackDown will serve as the penultimate show to the Bash in Berlin PLE. As we’ve come to expect before PLEs, tonight's show is absolutely packed with the biggest stars who will take the ring in an attempt to get the fans riled up for Bash in Berlin.
We’ll get to see Carmelo Hayes and Andrade face off in what should be a classic.
Moreover, LA Knight will be putting his title on the line in an open challenge. From the looks of it, Friday Night SmackDown is gearing up to deliver a fantastic show. Here’s everything we know about this week’s episode from the blue brand.
WWE SmackDown August 30 match card and other details
- LA Knight to hold open challenge for the United States Championship
- Nia Jax vs. Michin in a Street Fight for the WWE Women's Championship
- Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes
On last week’s episode of SmackDown, LA Knight went up against Santos Escobar and took him down against all odds. Angel and Berto assaulted Knight before the match even began, and he was on his last legs when the bell finally rang. The Megastar showed amazing resilience and character and overcame all odds to mark his first title defense. Now, he’s looking to take on whoever is ready to step into the ring with him.
Nia Jax held a celebration for her title win two weeks ago. Unfortunately, Michin descended into the ring and started to lay everyone out. Armed with a kendo stick, Michin completely ruined Jax’s celebrations, and the champ will now be looking to get some revenge on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Last but not least, we will get to see Andrade take on Carmelo Hayes yet again. These two have been fighting each other almost every week and their chemistry is off the charts. The fans have begun to expect a classic out of Andrade and Hayes everytime they take the ring together. Hopefully, their match will be just as good as the others.
For now, these are the only matches that have been confirmed for WWE SmackDown (8/30). We will most probably get to see more matches take place when the show kicks off. It’ll be interesting to see what else WWE has in store for us on the upcoming episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
