Now, Booker T has shared his thoughts on CM Punk’s NXT appearance after the episode claiming wide reception from wrestling fans.
Booker T praised CM Punk’s NXT appearance
CM Punk surprised everyone by making an appearance in this week’s NXT show. While the WWE superstar hailed the young talents of the brand, he announced that he would be the special guest referee for Ethan Page and Trick Williams’ title match in NXT’s CW debut. WWE Hall of Famer Booker T revealed that he had backstage interaction with Punk.

“I wrapped up at the desk right, went to the bathroom, went back, talked to the boys, hung out a little bit in the back, and then I was leaving the arena. I had to walk right back through the arena. When I walked back through, everybody was still in the arena. It was still packed, you know, jammed in there. I was like, What the heck? I thought these people were going home. CM Punk stayed,” the Hall of Famer revealed.
He went on to add, “It was just like trying to get The Undertaker to do the spinaroonie. It was one of those types of deals. It was a moment that the NXT fans were going to get a chance to have for the rest of their lives, to think about that moment for the rest of their lives, you know, hanging out with CM Punk after the show. So I appreciate that.”
Punk’s NXT segment has reportedly invited a stunning 677,000 viewers. The promo was hailed by fans when NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez briefly interrupted ahead of her upcoming match with Giulia.
