With less than two weeks until its debut in the WWE calendar,
the upcoming NXT premium live event,
NO MERCY, has unveiled several matches during the latest episode aired on the USA Network.
TNA Wrestling's
Joe Hendry will face Ethan Page for the WWE NXT Championship in a cross-brand bout, having won a number-one contender’s match on the recent NXT show. The match also featured Pete Dunne and Wes Lee, with Page providing commentary. Hendry’s victory was facilitated by Trick Williams, who took out Dunne with a Trick Shot, allowing Hendry to secure the pinfall. The referee was distracted by Page's interference, which prevented him from witnessing Hendry's win, setting up what could be the biggest match of Hendry’s career at NO MERCY.
Additionally, this week on NXT,
Jaida Parker emerged victorious in a gauntlet match, earning a title shot against Roxanne Perez’s Women's Championship at NO MERCY. Parker defeated Sol Ruca, Wren Sinclair, Adriana Rizzo, Kendal Grey, and Brinley Reece to secure her opportunity. Karmen Petrovic was slated to compete but was attacked by Izzi Dame in the parking lot, preventing her from participating. Parker eventually pinned Ruca, the final competitor, to claim her championship match.
In tag team action, former NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom will challenge Chase U’s Andre Chase and Ridge Holland for the titles at NO MERCY. This rematch follows Frazer and Axiom’s win over Chase University's Duke Hudson and Riley Osbourne in the opening segment of NXT. The challengers have resolved recent differences and are now aligned.
The North American Championship will also be contested at NO MERCY, with Oba Femi defending against Tony D'Angelo. The match was confirmed by NXT GM Ava after Tony challenged and attacked Femi on the previous night’s show.
The 2024 WWE NXT NO MERCY premium live event is scheduled for Sunday, September 1, at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, and will broadcast live at 7 PM ET on WWE Network/Peacock.
