NXT has officially moved to the CW network in a special episode from the Black and Gold brand celebrating the big debut. While several match cards were added including NXT Championship and NXT Women’s Championship matches, the event was made even more special with the surprising presence of Paul "
Triple H" Levesque alongside Shawn Michaels. Fans got a nostalgia treat at the event as two of the iconic DX stable members reunited.

The debut episode of WWE NXT on The CW Network started from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, on October 1, 2024.
WWE Senior VP of Talent Development Creative, Shawn Michaels, made his way to the ring to kick off the show to begin the new chapter of the brand.
The Heartbreak Kid unveiled the brand-new WWE NXT World and WWE NXT Women’s World title belts which were placed on a podium in the center of the ring. After revealing the new championships, he addressed the crowd, “Now, of course, our men and our women will make history tonight so, really, Chicago, I’ve just got one question for ya.”
Right at the moment, off-camera a voice was heard with the iconic line, “Are you ready?” The crowd erupted as the camera shifted to show WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque making his way to the ring. The duo soon addressed the crowd together, “Now Chicago, are you ready?” It was a huge moment as the reception from fans for the duo sparked loud cheers.
Levesque joined his longtime friend and ally, Michaels, in the ring, where the two legends united to officially kick off the first episode of NXT on The CW. The duo has been the members of the iconic WWE stable D-Generation X, simply DX. The stable also had several other members including Chyna, X-Pac, and the New Age Outlaws, a tag team consisting of Road Dogg and Billy Gunn.
Now, with Triple H joining Michaels in this historic moment, added excitement among fans to a new level. As for the matches, Trick Williams defeated Ethan Page to become the new NXT Champion and Roxanne Perez retained her NXT Women’s Championship against Giulia.
