Remember that kid John Cena blasted during his promo at the Monday night RAW Brussels show? Well, that kid is still holding out hope for his hero. We all remember the look on his face when Cena's scathing remarks towards the fans found his astonished self, as he saw his hero in a completely different light. But looks like he is not giving up, as he recently said that John Cena was still his hero.
John Cena berated a kid during his Brussels show
During his Monday night promo at the Brussels show, which was the first time John Cena had made a public appearance after turning heel at the end of Elimination Chamber 2025, he showed the fans a completely different personality than what they are used to. And the whole focus of it was put on a young kid at the show, who had with an open heart, screamed
"I love you" to his hero, John Cena.
But things took a turn when Cena singled him out and, pointing to him, said that he was in a
toxic relationship with all his fans, including the kid. When Cena asked the audience, "
What have you ever done to support me?" The young fan was seen screaming, "
I love you." But Cena's next comment completely broke the young kid when his hero pointed to him, saying, "
Everybody, including that one kid right there, is a toxic, dysfunctional relationship."
But the kid has not lost hope, as he recently said that whatever happened did not make any difference to the fact that Cena is his hero.
The young kid from Brussels still loves John Cena
WWE's official X (formerly Twitter) handle had posted a clip of the interaction after the show with the caption, "you can actually pinpoint the second when his heart rips in half." While it may have been a shock to the young fan, his resilience has shined through, as he recently told TikTok user berko_wwe:
"Since I was four years old I have been a fan of John Cena. He's been my hero for ten years now and he's my favorite superstar. I paid to see him. When he pointed at me, it was a source of pride for me that he pointed the finger at me because I didn't know he was going to talk down to me. I understood he said toxic and dysfunctional, but it's in his character as a heel, so I understand. For me, John Cena is still my hero."Looks like the kid knows what's what, and a little berating from his hero is not going to deter him from being a fan. Road to WrestleMania is ongoing, and John Cena will be next seen at The O2 in London for the last leg of the RAW European tour.
