Anoa'i family welcomes new member: Zilla Fatu announces birth of his first child

Zilla Fatu, the son of late WWE superstar Umaga, has welcomed his first child recently. The independent wrestler celebrated the birth of his son and named him in honor of his father, whose original name was Edward Smith “Eki” Fatu.
As a member of the legendary Anoa'i wrestling dynasty, Zilla Fatu chose to name his son, Eki Leo Fatu, after the Samoan Bulldozer’s name and to remember the legacy of the Anoa'i family and the rich wrestling legacy he left behind.
The birth of his son marks the beginning of a new chapter for his family and also serves as a way to continue the rich wrestling legacy of the entire Anoa’i lineage. Let's take a look at how the Anoa'i family member has celebrated the birth of his first son.

Zilla Fatu celebrated the birth of his first son, Eki Leo Fatu, and shared the joyous news on his social media handle on his father, Umaga’s 52nd birthday, on March 28. As soon as the Bloodline wrestler announced the birth of his child, congratulatory messages started pouring in after Fatu took to his Instagram account to share this personal milestone of his life with his fans.

Along with the post, he has sent a message to his father in the same post saying that he is celebrating him and his grandson on the same day. For Zilla Fatu, this moment in his life is deeply personal, and celebrating his birth on the day of his father’s birthday and naming after him speaks about the bond and respect that Zilla Fatu has for Umaga’s wrestling journey.
On his professional front, Zilla Fatu, at 25, has been making significant strides in the independent wrestling circuit. He is the fourth-generation wrestler of the Anoa'i family. Fatu began his wrestling journey in 2023 under Booker T's Reality of Wrestling promotion. Following this, he has competed in various organizations, including Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) and House of Glory. During his tenure at GCW, Fatu teamed up with his cousin, Jacob Fatu.

Recently, Zilla Fatu revealed on a podcast that he remains patient about joining the company, despite having his family's ties with WWE. Currently, he is in no rush to sign with any major promotion, and instead, he wants to develop his skills on the independent circuit.
