WWE SummerSlam 2025 (August 02 2025) Results: Tiffany Stratton defeats Jade Cargill to retain Women's Championship title

SummerSlam 2025 has been the big event for WWE that fans have been waiting for months. For the first time ever, it is being held for two nights in a row, and the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey is packed to the brim with the crowd cheering loudly. So far, Night 1 of the event has lived up to expectations, with wrestlers giving the fans one packed performance after the other. And now, for the second title match of the night, Jade Cargill - the reigning Queen of the Ring - will be facing the current WWE Women's Champion, Tiffany Stratton. While many fans expected Cargill to challenge Naomi after her big steal at Evolution, the WWE had other plans. This match was always going to be explosive, and fans are waiting to see if Tiffy Time will continue or Jade will become the new WWE Women's Champion. The match-up started with Jade Cargill making her way into the ring, followed by the reigning title holder of the WWE Women's Championship - Tiffany Stratton. Stratton hasn't lost any of her matches this year so far, and has a 13-0 record in 2025. She has also managed to successfully defend her title 7 times since she became the WWE Women's Champion 211 days ago. So, it was a no brainer that she would make it very hard for her opponent to snatch the belt from her, if that was even possible.This became her 8th defense, much to the surprise of those who thought The Storm would be able to overcome her, as Tiffany Stratton managed to win the match against Jade Cargill after a stunning Prettiest Moonsault Ever, who only a moment ago, had almost won the match. But Stratton getting her foot on the rope led to the referee calling off the count and restart. Unfortunately, that cost Cargill the match and her chance to win her first ever title, and Stratton managed to retain her title through it all. Tiffany Stratton defeats Jade Cargill after 7 minutes.Tiffany Stratton has had her title for a long time now, defeating big-name opponents like Charlotte Flair and Trish Stratus. But Jade Cargill was not an opponent that she could take lightly. The Storm has fought back to get to the top after she was betrayed by none other than her best friend and tag team partner - Naomi. But beating Stratton wasn't going to be easy for her either.Cargill had been the favorite to win the title against Stratton at SummerSlam, but the Buff Barbie, who is yet to lose a match this year, made sure that the winner's belt stayed with her. Stratton is still the reigning queen of the WWE Women's Championship.
