WWE RAW Results: John Cena challenges The Undertaker for ‘one more match’ - at Wrestlemania 34
With Wrestlemania 34 fast approaching, Monday Night RAW this week progressed with storylines for the show of immortals. The show opened with Roman Reigns, the challenger for Brock Lesnar’s Universal title at Wrestlemania 34, venting out his frustration for the second consecutive week for Lesnar no-show. Last week Reigns made his intentions clear to Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman and this week, it was Kurt Angle who stood opposite Reigns.
Reigns said that Lesnar’s absence failed to produce a reprimand for The Beast Incarnate, which he said was no surprise, as Lesnar was “Vince’s boy.” As such, and given that The Chairman had “disrespected” Reigns by not informing him of Lesnar’s absence in person, The Big Dog made his way behind the curtain and demanded answers from Mr. McMahon himself.
After a closed-door discussion, McMahon confirmed that Lesnar will be on RAW next week, but because Reigns ‘disrespected’ McMahon, the Big Dog would be would be temporarily suspended for his actions.
John Cena asks the Undertaker for one more match
After his failed attempt to book a Wrestlemania spot at WWE Fastlane, where he lost the six pack challenge for the WWE Championship, Cena was back on RAW with his initial Plan - a match with the Phenom Undertaker. Speculations were rife that the Undertaker could make a surprise appearance at Fastlane, costing Cena the match and thus confirming a Wrestlemania match between the two legends, but that was no to be.
So Cena, without a spot in the Wrestlemania 34 card, cut another fantastic promo claiming that The Deadman was the only factor stopping the match from happening in the first place and racked up with The Undertaker’s ego and asked for One.More.Match.
The Fabulous Moolah Memorial Battle Royal is announced for WrestleMania
In another first for the women’s division, WWE announced the first-ever Fabulous Moolah Memorial Battle Royal for WrestleMania for women superstars on the line of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. A kick-off worthy match, this would be the perfect platform for women superstars from RAW and SmackDown - not in the title picture - to be part of Wrestlemania and also provides WWE the opportunity to introduce NXT upstarts, setting them up for a big main roster debut.
"Woken" Matt Hardy reveals his "Woken family"
The Ultimate Deletion was set for next week with "Woken" Matt Hardy revealing his extended “Woken family” - Queen Rebecca, King Maxel, Lord Wolfgang, Señor Benjamin and the drone Vanguard 1 — for the first time on WWE TV.
Braun Strowman wins a Tag Team Battle Royal to determine Cesaro & Sheamus' WrestleMania opponent
After the RAW tag team champions, Cesaro and Sheamus jokingly announced an open invitation to determine their challengers for Wrestlemania 34 - their call was answered by The Miztourage, but before their match could get underway the entire RAW tag division went to blows in the middle of the ring, promptin Angle to book Battle Royal among Raw’s tag teams later in the evening to determine the Bar’s challengers at Wrestlemania 34.
But, things did not go according to plan as The Revival, Heath Slater and Rhyno, Titus Worldwide (Titus O’Neal and apollo Crews), Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson and Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel were joined in the main event by none other than Braun Strowman. And the monster among men tossed every other team over the top rope to win the Battle Royal and sent out and battle cry of “I’M GOING TO WRESTLEMANIA!”, making him the opponent for the Bar at Wrestlemania 34.
