The Netflix debut for WWE RAW has been one of the most anticipated events of 2025, considering the list of matches that have already been scheduled for the event. One such match is the showdown between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s Championship title. These two individuals have been fighting over this title belt for a while now, and it’s believed that the belt will finally change hands at the RAW Netflix debut on January 6, 2025. However, with days left for the match to air, the Stamford-based promotion has allegedly dropped a major stipulation for the matchup.

What stipulation did WWE have for the Women’s Championship Match between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley?

Prior to the removal, WWE had advertised the Women’s Championship to be a Last Woman Standing match. In this stipulation, the wrestler who can keep their opponent down for a 10-count will be declared the winner of the bout. Now, this stipulation is something that is difficult and extremely taxing on the wrestlers bodies. While it’s unclear why the Stamford-based promotion dropped this stipulation completely, it could likely be because of the fact that either Rhea Ripley or Liv Morgan has a minor injury that could get aggravated over the course of the match. Fans were extremely bewildered with such a change, especially so close to the event.
The match however, is still on the cards, and no alterations have been made to it as of now. It’s unlikely that the company will change the match up at any point, especially so close to the event. It’s also believed that this match will be the last one in a feud that lasted for over a year in the company, and will see some sort of involvement from Raquel Rodriguez and Dominik Mysterio. Alternatively, there’s also a rumor that Becky Lynch is set to return for WWE RAW’s Netflix debut too, especially after CM Punk and Seth Rollins referenced her during their heated exchange at the last RAW for 2024. The Man’s return to the Stamford-based promotion’s event on January 6 is still a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt. But, it’s extremely likely that Rhea will be walking out of the event with the Women’s Championship around her waist. Also read: Who is Jared Pobre?
