WWE Meets NBA: Finn Balor Steals the Show at Heat vs Lakers

WWE superstar, Finn Balor made an unannounced appearance during the Los Angeles Lakers vs Miami Heat game tonight. After the first quarter, a fan was brought out from the stands and was asked to participate in a game. The objective was to identify the WWE wrestler, based on the emojis that show up on Kaseya Center’s jumbotron. The young fan got a quick look at the emojis and immediately identified the wrestler as Balor.

Right as the name left the young fan’s mouth, Balor sneaked up from behind and greeted him. The Irish Young Gun went above and beyond to create a special moment for a fan, which is highly unlike him when we consider the kind of character Balor plays in WWE. For the longest time now, Balor has relied on lies and underhanded tactics to be successful in the squared ring. So, it is quite a pleasant surprise to see “The Demon’s” human side for once.

However, this won’t last long as Balor will soon go back to being the villain that we know him to be. He is currently set to take on Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE’s next PLE, on Saturday Night’s Main Event scheduled for December 14, 2024.

Finn Balor vs Gunther: A Second World Title Possible?

Despite being the WWE World Tag Team Champion, Balor has been trying his best to add another world title to his resume. Unfortunately, all his recent attempts have been in vain. But, Balor has finally earned himself another shot and just needs to defeat Gunther whose reign stands at an impressive 124 days at the time of writing.

So far, Gunther has defended his title thrice and has been incredibly entertaining during his reign as champion. He also has the crowd’s backing, so WWE has no real need to make the title switch hands so soon. However, as we all know by now, Balor never hesitates to use whatever dirty tactic he can, to assure victory.

It was due to Balor’s distraction at SummerSlam 2024 that Gunther became the World Heavyweight Champion in the first place. So, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Irish Young Gun already has another plan in mind to defeat Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Chances are that he will rely on his Judgment Day stablemates to get him across the finishing line like he often has in the past.
