WWE may add a former superstar to women's roster as revealed in new details from her husband

WWE’s NXT star Shawn Spears recently shared that his wife Cassie Lee has been training for her in-ring return. Lee who previously performed under her in-ring name Peyton Royce, left WWE to focus on her family. The duo got married in 2019 and share two children. Royce’s husband recently revealed that she is all ready to make her WWE return.

Peyton Royce may return to WWE soon

Peyton Royce is ready to get back to the ring. Her husband and NXT star Shawn Spears recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet’s podcast reveling the status of Royce’s potential WWE return. “She watches it a lot. She watches it more than I do,” Spears shared revealing that Royce watches WWE matches on a regular basis.

“That doesn’t mean I don’t watch wrestling, it just means I’m busy a lot. I’m around. I can see a lot of stuff. Yeah, she keeps up on it. She still loves watching a lot of her friends,” he continued.

Spears added that Royce has already been doing training for her potential return in WWE, “She’s still getting the itch, so she’s already weight training. She’s doing all that kind of stuff. She’s getting back into the mix and things like that. When she feels 100% good to go, there’s a ring close by, so she plans on getting back into it.”

He went on to add, “She doesn’t know what capacity, meaning no one said anything. No one said, ‘Hey, when you ready, come on back.’ Like, not Impact, not anything, but with the working relationship, who’s to say that that’s not a possibility? She still misses it. I think she still has a little bit of an itch. We’ll see.”

While Royce is ready to return to her job, WWE has yet to officially confirm her potential return. It is unclear if WWE is interested in bringing her back but Spears and Royce hope for the best as she has been itching to get back inside the squared circle. Royce was released from WWE in April 2021 alongside her tag team partner tag team partner Billie Kay. Royce has the Women's Tag Team Championship to her credit.
