WWE Hall of Famer Confirmed For WWE Raw Season Premiere on September 9, 2024

WWE Raw is set to kick off a new season in Canada next week on the USA Network, featuring one of professional wrestling's greatest icons. As announced by WWE Raw backstage interviewer Jackie Redmond on her official X account, 2-time WWE Hall of Famer Bret "The Hitman" Hart will make his return to the show this Monday.

This marks Hart’s first appearance on WWE programming for a potential storyline since his involvement with All Elite Wrestling in 2019. Redmond posted the following on X about Hart's return: "BREAKING: I can officially confirm that Canadian LEGEND, Bret The Hitman Hart, will be in attendance this Monday for the season premiere of #WWERAW at the Saddledome in Calgary!!! Break out your pink and let's rock!"

While there are no specific details on Hart’s role during the show, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H boosted the excitement by retweeting Jackie's post, as WWE prepares to enter "Hart Country" next Monday.



Given CM Punk's history with Hart, there’s speculation he might be involved in Punk’s ongoing feud with Drew McIntyre. However, Punk’s status for Raw is uncertain after McIntyre attacked him last week, leaving him hospitalized.

Hart’s last appearance on WWE TV was in the audience for the Clash at the Castle 2022 premium live event in Scotland. Prior to that, he attended the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, celebrating The British Bulldogs’ induction.

The September 9 episode of WWE Raw will be held at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, marking the season premiere of the longest-running weekly television show. The confirmed match card includes:

• WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart will appear.
• Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill (c) vs. Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.
• Jey Uso vs. Pete Dunne vs. Ilja Dragunov vs. Braun Strowman for the Number-One Contender spot for Bron Breakker's Intercontinental Championship.
• The Wyatt Sicks vs. American Made in an 8-Person Street Fight.

Monday's Raw Is Going To Be A Loaded Show

Along with Bret Hart’s appearance and the potential return of Natalya, the show features an action-packed lineup. The tournament to determine the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship will conclude with a match between Jey Uso, Pete Dunne, Braun Strowman, and Ilja Dragunov. Additionally, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill will defend their titles against Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. Lastly, a street fight is set between The Wyatt Sicks (Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, and Nikki Cross) and American Made (Chad Gable, Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, and Ivy Nile).
