WWE Hall of Famer rescues Trick Williams at NXT Halloween Havoc

Trick Williams was able to defeat Ethan Page to retain his NXT Championship at the Halloween Havoc PLE. Unfortunately, he was ambushed by Ridge Holland and Ethan Page while celebrating his victory. But, Williams found an unlikely ally in Bully Ray, who erupted into the ring and took out both Holland and Page to make the save.
Ahead of the match, Holland disrespected Bully Ray by crashing his hosting session with David LeGreca. So, it was only fair for Ray to ruin Holland’s night and pay the disrespect back. Williams’ win at Halloween Havoc marks the second time that he has been able to successfully defend his title against Page. Lately, Trick has been taking help and collaborating with a ton of WWE Hall of Famers. Let’s take a look at his recent collaborations.

Ahead of his Devil’s Playground match Trick, Williams collaborated with Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley for a diss track aimed at rival Ethan Page. Prior to that, Williams also paid homage to WWE legend Booker T by wearing an outfit inspired by him during Heatwave 2024, and now he is also in the good graces of Bully Ray.
With all these legends helping Trick on his journey, it wouldn’t be a long shot to say that the NXT Champion is destined for greatness. It should only be a matter of time before Williams gets called up to the main roster. Now that Ridge Holland is also after Trick's title, his reign may end sooner rather than later, thus allowing him to move up in the wrestling world and make a place for himself on the main roster.
But, for now, Williams will be looking to get back payback against Page and Holland. There is some talk suggesting that Williams will team up with Bully Ray to take on Holland and Page in a tag team match. Though, this is just speculation at the moment and should be taken with a pinch of salt.
