Currently, both John Cena and Ric Flair hold the record for the most World Title reigns, each with 16 championships. Cena, still under contract with WWE, has the opportunity to break this record, especially after Flair's recent multi-year deal with AEW.
Speaking on the Busted Open Podcast, Bully Ray discussed the possibility of WWE letting Cena break Flair's record as a response to Flair joining AEW. Bully Ray suggested that if WWE feels compelled to make a statement due to Flair's move, they might position Cena to become a 17-time World Champion, potentially winning Seth Rollins' World Heavyweight Title in the process.
