Becky Lynch cleverly retained her WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship at Evolution 2025, overcoming the combined threat of Lyra Valkyria and Bayley. Capitalizing on the animosity between her challengers, Lynch seized a timely opportunity to pin Bayley after Valkyria's finisher, securing a controversial victory.

Becky Lynch had a huge chip on her shoulder heading into WWE Evolution 2025. She had not one but two heated foes eyeing to dethrone her for the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship in front of a sold-out State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. However, as the dust settled, the conniving champion found a way to keep her title reign intact.

Becky Lynch made her return to WWE at WrestleMania 41 to replace Bayley as Lyra Valkyria's partner. Later on, she turned on her fellow Irish native and was revealed to be the one to attack Bayley. This led to both women becoming her arch rivals, who at the same time, began to develop tensions among each other as well, which led to the triple threat match at WWE Evolution 2025.The Man arrived with her overconfidence, while Valkyria and Bayley eyed each other to win the workhorse title, even if it meant destroying each other and any chances of a reconciled friendship. The match spilled all over the ringside as part of the triple-threat rules. The three women executed some power-packed moves on each other and had multiple nearfalls in the bout.As the match came down towards its conclusion, Lyra Valkyria executed her finisher, Nightwing, on Becky Lynch and went for the pin, only for Bayley to break.
She then reversed a pinfall attempt from Bayley, but she managed to kick out. This led to Bayley delivering the Rose Plant move on Valkyria. However, it became an opening for The Man to get the back slide cover on The Role Model to score the pinfall and retain her championship.
Becky Lynch used her veteran heel tactics to retain the WWE Women's Intercontinental title, while Bayley and Lyra Valkyria were left disappointed. On the other, The Man has put both her rivals in the rearview with this huge win on a historic night for the women in WWE.
