John Cena won the Elimination Chamber, Cody Rhodes came on stage with his Championship belt. Soon after, Travis Scott came up to bring the Final Boss to the ring to the beats of Fein. And then, as we all knew would happen, The Rock asked Cody if he would accept to be his champion. But much to the surprise of fans, Cody refused his proposal. He said he could not give his soul to The Final Boss as he had already given it to the ring and the people a long time ago.
“I want it all, Rock. My soul no longer belongs to me. You know why? I gave my soul to this ring, and these people a long time. Hey Rock: Go f—k yourself!”The people cheered, as did the Cenation leader. Cena, who seemed to be enjoying seeing Cody refuse The Rock, came up to hug him. The fans had begged Cody to say no as well, so everyone celebrated this defiance from Rhodes. Everything seemed to be going okay until all hell broke loose.
John Cena turns heel for the first time in 25 years
For the first time in his career, John Cena has turned heel. 25 years in this business, and Cena was always a babyface, a name loved by everyone. But that's going to change now. Cena beat down Cody brutally, from a Rolex to Cody's championship belt to the mic, whatever he could get his hands on, Cena used it to beat up Cody Rhodes while The Rock looked on in satisfaction.
