In a development that has sent ripples through the worlds of sports entertainment and politics, former WWE CEO Linda McMahon and her husband, WWE Executive Chairman Vince McMahon, are reportedly separated. The news coincided with Linda McMahon’s nomination as U.S. Secretary of Education by President-elect Donald Trump, a move generating widespread attention.

Linda McMahon and Vince McMahon Separate Amid Legal Turmoil

This revelation was confirmed by Linda’s attorney, Laura Brevetti, as reported by CNN on November 19. The Washington Post's Beth Reinhard and Abha Bhattarai followed up with an in-depth analysis of the nomination, highlighting a statement from Linda’s attorney, Laura Brevetti, who confirmed the couple's separation. However, the reasons behind their separation remain private, but it comes during a tumultuous period for Vince McMahon and WWE’s public image.

Brevetti also addressed ongoing legal issues surrounding the McMahon family and WWE. She commented on a lawsuit involving "Ring Boys," which accuses Linda McMahon, Vince McMahon, WWE, and TKO Group Holdings of failing to address decades-old allegations of abuse within the wrestling organization.

Brevetti stated in a firm rebuttal: "This lawsuit based upon thirty-plus-year-old allegations is filled with scurrilous lies, exaggerations, and misrepresentations."

The lawsuit, filed by DiCello Levitt and counsel, claims that Melvin Phillips Jr., a former WWE employee, sexually exploited and abused underaged boys. According to the suit, these incidents occurred at wrestling venues, hotel rooms, and other locations, with allegations that the defendants were aware of the abuse but failed to act.

The legal troubles for Vince McMahon do not end there. He remains under investigation following a separate sexual assault and trafficking lawsuit filed in January by former WWE employee Janel Grant. Brevetti did not comment on this case, but Grant's attorney has disclosed that additional alleged victims have come forward.
