The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and the National Football League (NFL) are rumored to be collaborating on a project for this weekend in New Orleans. It is set to showcase a custom WWE Championship title featuring the Super Bowl 59 branding, the latter of which is set for this Sunday night on 9th February, between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

WWE and NFL are set to collaborate on a brand-new project

The NFL Super Bowl LIX is set to take place on February 9 and it looks like WWE is trying to join in on the fun. A new project showcasing a custom WWE Championship title featuring Super Bowl 59 branding will be revealed this weekend in New Orleans. The title is set to incorporate the Super Bowl's official logo, colors, and design elements inspired by the host city of New Orleans, Louisiana.
A custom-made championship belt will be put up for display over the weekend game and will be revealed over the weekend ahead of the Super Bowl LIX. WWE has a special relationship with the city of New Orleans, having had quite a few important events that have taken place there over the years. This will be yet another event added to WWE's long-standing relationship with the city.

WWE's relationship with New Orleans over the years

Many premium events of the WWE have taken place in New Orleans, Louisiana, over the years. From the Miracle on Bourbon Street WrestleMania 30 event to WrestleMania 34, WWE has returned over and over to NOLA.
And now, it's returning for yet another event, albeit not one of its own.
This relationship between WWE and the NFL is newly minted after a deal was signed back in 2023. The WWE and the NFL entered a multi-year licensing agreement, and a deal was made to develop NFL-themed WWE championship belts, featuring the logos of all 32 NFL teams. And this is just another step in that direction. Also Read: Has WWE Planned an Iconic Way to Close Out John Cena's Farewell in December 2025?
