In the mid-2000s, when Cena was rising as a top prospect, Victoria had cemented her place as a dominant and top player of the women's division.
In a past interview, Victoria confirmed that she and The Never Seen 17 dated for a month in 2002, when she was separated from her husband, and both were in WWE's developmental program.
"One of those times that we were separated, I dated John Cena for about a month. It was not in 2006 or 2007. It was in 2002. It was when we were both in Louisville," Victoria said.

Are both John Cena and Victoria still competing as in-ring performers?
Victoria has not announced her formal retirement, although her last match took place in TNA in 2023. She teamed up with Gisele Shaw to challenge Jessicka and Taya Valkyrie for the Knockout World Tag Team titles in a losing effort. On the other hand, John Cena began his farewell tour at the start of 2025, and it culminated with his last match against Gunther at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event in December. The shocking end saw Cena tap out for the first time in his prime and marked the end of one of the most illustrious careers of all time.
