Daphanie LaShaunn, known to wrestling fans as WWE official Aja Smith, has a staggering personal tragedy to overcome. The esteemed official only recently disclosed the loss of four of her family members after they were killed in a house fire, leaving her and her family stunned and grieving. LaShaunn said in an emotional post on social media thatlosing her grandparents, uncle, and cousin in one hit was "a nightmare" she never thought she would ever have to live through.

“My heart aches. Last night I lost my grandma, grandpa, uncle, and cousin in a house fire. We were at the scene til the very end.. My soul is hollow right now. Please pray for my family as we navigate this unbelievable nightmare”, she wrote in her Instagram post.

This tragic event has sparked sympathy from within the wrestling world. LaShaunn has also received a flood of love and financial help from coworkers, fans, and friends, as the family starts the painful journey of grieving and rebuilding. A fundraiser has been set up to assist with funeral costs and to help relatives who were left homeless as a result of the blaze.
