“Who Can Stop Him”: WWE Universe Amazed by Gunther’s Victory Against Priest and Balor to Retain Heavyweight Title
The Ring General has held on to his WWE World Heavyweight Title dearly ever since winning it back from Damian Priest earlier this year at SummerSlam. While Priest did get a lot of chances to win back the title, he hasn’t been able to do so thanks to Finn Balor interfering every single time.
So, to even the odds, WWE put Balor in a contest against Gunther and Priest, making it a three-way. Despite being at loggerheads, the two former stablemates couldn’t get the best of the Ring General, who retained his title in one of the best bouts of the night at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
With Gunther being on an impressive run so far, fans are amazed and have been wondering who’ll be the one to stop him in the near future.
Storyline aside, the match was indeed impressive and fans have had nothing but good things to say about the current WWE Heavyweight Champion.
One fan stated, “Honestly One Of The Best Matches Of The Night So Far. But Who Can Stop Him AND STILLLLLL YOUR WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION The Ring General GUNTHERRRRRR”
All three superstars displayed exemplary performance in the ring, with each of them selling the spots very well. There was a lot of chemistry between the three wrestlers, which is why it was an impressive bout.
Another fan quipped, “What A Match At Saturday Nights Main Event As The Ring General Survives. Props To All 3 Superstars But Gunther Took Damian Priest Out & Delivered A Powerbomb To Finn Balor To Get The Pinfall!”
Needless to say, the match was equally brutal as Gunther hit Damian Priest with a powerbomb on the steps outside the ring before hitting Balor with a dropkick into the turnbuckles and a powerbomb to pick up a victory. These spots were executed well, and fans had nothing but praises to sing for these wrestlers.
As for the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, a third fan added, “What an absolute war! Gunther has once again proven why he’s the dominant force in WWE, leaving #SNME STILL the World Heavyweight Champion.”
A fourth fan said, “In a good match Gunther is still the world heavyweight champion.”
It’s safe to say that Gunther is ending the year with the title around his waist, but he might not be holding onto it for long considering John Cena is making a comeback next year, and might be the one to pick up the title from him for his 17th World Championship victory in the WWE.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther is on an unstoppable run
Gunther’s victory doesn’t really come as a surprise at this point, because there’s no one else to really drop the title to. While Damian Priest is a worthy candidate, he’s too caught up in the feud with Finn Balor and the Judgment Day, just like Rhea Ripley is caught up with Liv Morgan.Storyline aside, the match was indeed impressive and fans have had nothing but good things to say about the current WWE Heavyweight Champion.
