Where is MVP? Everything you need to know about his WWE contract

It’s been a long time since Alvin Atonio Burke Jr., aka MVP, was seen performing at a WWE event. This has left many to wonder over the status of the veteran and if he’s on the books at all. While many wrestlers do leave to join other organizations, MVP hasn’t been seen on any other shows like AEW. In fact, he’s very much present on the WWE roster, at least as per the official payroll.

MVP is very much a part of WWE

Veterans often have their minutes reduced to make way for upcoming superstars. MVP’s last match was back on July 18, 2022, and he hasn’t made an appearance since. However, Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed that Alvin is available on the company’s books.

For those asking about an update on MVP, he’s still under contract with WWE as of now.

Interestingly, the “as of now” is a point to note, as Alvin might not be on the books for long. Of course, that is entirely speculative since WWE hasn’t officially divulged any information so far.

When was MVP last seen on WWE?

On July 18, 2022, Alvin Jr. was seen in the contest against The Street Profits, where he teamed up with Omos. The Street Profits won that fight by DQ on Monday Night Raw, and even Omos hasn’t been seen that often on a show.

In all likelihood, MVP’s future role with the company might change, and he has managed Omos in live events. Given his age, Alvin Jr. could be well-suited for mentoring another younger wrestler and potentially accompanying him as a ringside manager.

As an alternative, he could be partnered with Omos once again, but the giant will need a push in that case. His minutes have been quite limited, and not many will be able to tell when they saw him last in the ring.

Lastly, there’s always a chance for some of the existing talents to be cut, as there has been a recent change in ownership as well. In that case, MVP could take his talents elsewhere, based on his demand in the market. Image via WWE
