Alberto Del Rio, whose real name is José Alberto Rodríguez Chucuan, is currently signed to Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) as a wrestler. He's the reigning AAA Mega Champion in his second reign, after having won the championship for the first time back in 2014, a decade ago.
Alongside being a professional wrestler, Del Rio is also a sports commentator and mixed martial artist. He comes from a famous Mexican wrestling family, with his father being the noted luchador Dos Caras, and his uncles, Mil Máscaras and Sicodelico, also being wrestlers.

Before joining WWE, Alberto Del Rio had a successful wrestling career in Mexico and Japan, competing in various promotions, including Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and Pro Wrestling Zero1 (Zero1). He also had a brief stint in WWE's developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), before making his main roster debut in 2010.

Del Rio's WWE career was marked by several championships, including two WWE Championship reigns and two World Heavyweight Championship reigns. He also won the 2011 Royal Rumble and the 2011 Money in the Bank ladder match, becoming the first wrestler to win both matches in the same year.
After leaving WWE in 2016, Del Rio went on to compete in various independent promotions and eventually signed with Impact Wrestling, where he won the Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship. He came back to WWE for a while but opted out of his contract after a few months because he left as if he had been given empty promises. He currently competes in AAA, where he's a top champion and a major star in the promotion.

Alberto Del Rio's personal life has been subject to media attention over the years. Other than his father, uncles, and cousins, who are similarly linked to the world of wrestling as him, Del Rio has other family members who were not part of it. Del Rio was married to Angela Velkei, a Mexican model and actress, from 2004 to 2016. Unfortunately, she passed away in April 2022, leaving their three children behind.

Before his marriage, Del Rio was in a high-profile relationship with WWE wrestler Paige (Saraya-Jade Bevis) from 2016 to 2017. The couple got engaged in 2016 but broke up in 2017. He was involved in a domestic violence incident with Paige in 2017, which led to his arrest at the Orlando International Airport. However, the charges were later dropped due to insufficient evidence.
