Wrestling legend Ric Flair has often shared updates about his health with his followers. Flair has often kept his fans in the loop about his health journey and has also opened up about his struggle with addiction during his long and glorious career. The 16-time WWE champion who is also known as The Nature Boy, spent 40 years in the spotlight and he recently took to X to share his gratitude for his health as he shared a video of him in a hospital where he could be seen struggling to walk. Flair has had a few health scares in the past and had to cancel an appearance at a wrestling event recently. However, Flair is likely okay since he shared a positive health update on X.

WWE Veteran Ric Flair Shares Emotional Post About Medical Struggles


"On This Sunday Morning, I Am Thinking About How Blessed I Am To Be So Healthy Today After The Long Journey Of Recovery From My Hospitalization Where I Was Given A 5% Chance Of Survival! I Don’t Take Anything For Granted And Am Grateful For Each & Every Day! ����," he wrote on X.



In 2017, Flair was hospitalized for stomach pains and later placed in a medically induced coma for several days for heart-related issues. In 2019, he had to undergo a procedure for "ongoing health complications." He also thanked some of his famous friends who supported him like wrestler Triple H, NBA legend Charles Barkley and metro Atlanta rapper Offset, who FaceTimed the famed wrestler while he was hospitalized.

Flair has also often talked about his struggle with addiction. In March of 2013, Flair's son Reid died of a heroin overdose at 25. Flair went through a phase of alcohol addiction post the tragedy and finally went to rehab in 2015, only to start drinking again a month later. Two years later doctors gave him a shocking prognosis and gave him about a 20 percent survival rate. However, Flair recovered gradually.

Flair made a name in wrestling in the 1970s and has been an unstoppable force ever since. He is famous for his flamboyant persona and get-up and won eight NWA World Heavyweight Championships, six WCW World Heavyweight Championships, and two WWF Championships. His daughter Charlotte Flair is also an accomplished wrestler, and Ric often uses social media to hype up his daughter before her fights.
