“I can’t talk”: Triple H responds about Vince McMahon after WWE Money in the Bank

After Vince McMahon's WWE departure due to misconduct allegations... Read More
There have been a lot of uncertainties since Vince McMahon stepped down from his role at the WWE following accusations of misconduct. While the charges are yet to be proven, Paul Levesque, aka Triple H, took charge as the CCO, and has steered the ship pretty well. However, his reaction during the Money in the Bank post-show was pretty diplomatic when asked about his father-in-law.

Triple H’s response in the WWE Money in the Bank was as diplomatic as possible

Paul Levesque was taking questions following the last PLE when he was asked if WWE was cooperating in the lawsuit against Vince. This question is a follow up of the organization’s own statement from last year when they claimed that they will be cooperating with the authorities.

While Triple H was pretty receptive towards most of the questions, his response to this particular query was curt.

"Yeah, I can't talk about legal stuff at the moment,"

The Game had been asked something similar the first time when he took charge. Back then, he said that he wanted to focus on the positives and how he could contribute in an administrative role. This time, his comment clearly looked more dismissive, citing the legal nature of the investigation at the moment.

Incidentally, Triple H was already serving as an executive during the period which has been cited by Janel Grant in the lawsuit. Incidentally, Janel’s lawyer Ann Callis had a similar response when asked if The Game knew about what McMahon had allegedly done. She had replied by saying that she can’t comment on an active investigation in public.

The outcome of the investigation remains to be seen, but the conclusion can be anybody’s guess at this point. This is what Jessica Rosenberg, a partner with Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP, had told Wrestling.Inc.

"We remain confident the evidence will prove Ms. Grant's allegations are false and her complaint is nothing more than a fabricated, vindictive narrative from a disgruntled former girlfriend.”

While Levesque’s work as CCO has gained plenty of plaudits, the questions about his father-in-law is certainly going to be a prickly thorn to say the least.
