NEW DELHI: The wrestling world is buzzing with excitement as 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, the iconic Texas Rattlesnake, hinted at the possibility of a dream match against CM Punk during his second run in WWE.

Austin, who returned for a match at WrestleMania 38 in 2022 against Kevin Owens, has been open to the idea of stepping into the ring once again, and a clash with the 'Second City Saint' has fans on the edge of their seats.

In a recent interview while promoting the upcoming WWE 2K24 with ESPN, Austin expressed his admiration for CM Punk and discussed the potential of facing him in the squared circle. The WWE Hall of Famer acknowledged the mutual respect between them and jokingly emphasized that Punk would need to withstand a Stone Cold Stunner.

"I like Punk, and I think Punk likes me. So, as long as he can take a [Stone Cold] Stunner," Austin remarked with a laugh. "I consider him a great friend, a great guy, and a great wrestler who's had a great career. We'll see."

CM Punk's return to the WWE has opened the door to numerous dream matches, and a showdown with 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin would undoubtedly be a marquee attraction. As fans eagerly anticipate what the future holds, the possibility of witnessing two of the most iconic figures in wrestling history facing off in the ring adds an extra layer of excitement to the current WWE landscape.
