NEW DELHI: DDT Pro Wrestling star Saki Akai has officially concluded her remarkable 12-year wrestling career at the age of 36. The accomplished wrestler marked the end of her in-ring journey with a memorable match at the DDT Pro Wrestling's Ultimate Party event on November 12.
Saki Akai, who dedicated a decade of her career to DDT Pro Wrestling, made significant contributions to the promotion, leaving an indelible mark with records and championship victories.

Notably, she clinched the Ironman Heavymetalweight title an impressive 24 times and held the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championship twice.

The farewell match at the Ultimate Party event saw Akai teaming up with her male counterparts, Yukio Sakaguchi, and Hideki Okatani, for one last time. Following the match, the trio relinquished their 6-man tag team titles, bringing a symbolic conclusion to Akai's wrestling journey.
The decision to retire was announced by Saki Akai in May, leading to a retirement tour that allowed fans to witness her final performances in the ring. Her contributions and impact were duly recognized as she received honors during the event. In a heartwarming gesture, Akai was offered a staff position within the promotion, a role she graciously accepted.
