Donald Trump’s 1991-2004 WrestleMania Appearances

The earliest records of Trump being associated with WWE are from the early '90s. Trump’s Atlantic City hotels, located inside Trump Plaza, hosted WrestleMania IV in 1988 and then WrestleMania V in 1989. These solidified Trump’s involvement with WWE (WWF at the time), and his larger-than-life persona was one that immediately clicked with the fans.

Vince McMahon and Donald Trump’s Battle of the Billionaires

Donald Trump returned to WWE and gave the fans one of his most iconic appearances ever. Trump returned in 2007 and took on Vince McMahon in the “Battle of the Billionaires” at WrestleMania 23. Both men selected a fighter to represent them and unfortunately for Vince, Trump’s wrestler, Bobby Lashley ended up defeating McMahon’s pick, Umaga. Due to losing, Vince McMahon had to get his head shaved on camera while Trump watched on with a smile.

Donald Trump has forged quite a relationship with some of WWE’s most legendary wrestlers. Hulk Hogan remains one of his biggest fans and endorsed him for the presidency in 2016, 2020, and 2024. The Undertaker is another WWE legend who has aligned with Trump. Last but not least, Kane, a.k.a. Glenn Jacobs, also aligns with Trump’s views and shares his vision for the future of America. His influence goes beyond WWE, as UFC president Dana White also endorses him. Trump can often be spotted in the crowd at many UFC events.
