Randy Orton's past displeasure in WWE with Matt Riddle unveiled
NEW DELHI: Randy Orton has solidified his status as one of the greatest superstars in WWE history during his illustrious career spanning nearly 24 years. The Viper's journey has seen him not only achieve numerous championships but also earn the respect of the locker room by graciously putting over emerging talents. However, a revelation from the past sheds light on a moment when Orton was less than pleased with one of his former teammates, Matt Riddle.
The incident in question occurred during the tenure of their tag team, RK-Bro, which captivated audiences between 2021 and 2022 until an injury sidelined Orton for the next 18 months. Despite their on-screen chemistry, Riddle recently disclosed on "Insight with Chris Van Vliet" that their relationship wasn't always as amicable.
Riddle recounted an instance where he missed an opportunity to greet Orton, which seemingly irked The Viper. According to Riddle, Orton perceived this as disrespect, interpreting it as if Riddle thought Orton was not "cool enough." Orton's reaction was strong, as he expressed a desire to see Riddle fired, a sentiment that Riddle learned about later when their friendship had already blossomed.
"So I guess I had a chance to say hi, and I didn't take it or what have you. I think Randy took that as disrespect. Like, I didn't think he was cool enough or something. Randy is like, 'How do I get this asshole fired?' And I was like, 'Oh man!' But he didn't say that to me. He told me that later when we were friends," Riddle explained.
This candid revelation provides a glimpse into the dynamics between the two WWE superstars during a period of their partnership, highlighting the complexities and nuances within the world of professional wrestling relationships. As both Orton and Riddle have navigated their paths, the incident serves as an intriguing chapter in the narrative of their partnership and eventual camaraderie.
