NEW DELHI: The Viper, Randy Orton, officially inked a contract with the blue brand. The signing unfolded in the final segment of the show, adding another layer of complexity to Orton's already tumultuous return to the Stamford-based company.

General manager Nick Aldis, who had extended the offer to Orton, sweetened the deal by not only presenting a contract but also offering the seasoned veteran a chance to go against The Bloodline. However, the celebratory mood was short-lived as chaos erupted in the ring.

Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa launched a surprise attack on Orton, aiming to thwart the contract signing. Despite the odds, Orton managed to fend off the assault with the assistance of LA Knight. The sequence of events culminated with Orton signing the contract and delivering a resounding RKO on general manager Nick Aldis.

Orton's swift actions and defiance have quickly cast a cloud of uncertainty over his future on SmackDown. Despite his limited time back in the company, it's evident that The Viper is unwilling to conform to authority, a stance that might have repercussions.

This marked the first instance of Aldis being physically assaulted since his tenure as SmackDown general manager. In a previous incident, Aldis had suspended Kevin Owens for an ostensibly lesser infraction. The looming question now is whether Randy Orton will face similar consequences for his defiant behavior.

Speculation is rife about potential disciplinary actions against Orton. One scenario being considered is a suspension lasting two weeks, postponing any confrontation with Roman Reigns until The Tribal Chief makes his much-anticipated return to WWE in two weeks, specifically on the December 15 episode of SmackDown.

The stage is set for an intense rivalry between Randy Orton and Roman Reigns, with the latter expected to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against The Viper at the upcoming 2024 Royal Rumble.
