AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone has recently responded to the WWE’s historic decision to move Monday Night Raw from television to streaming as the company has made a deal with streaming giant Netflix. As the leading wrestling brand is set to move to Netflix from January Mone has revealed her mixed feelings while showing extreme concern for the hour cut of the Red brand.

Mercedes Mone shared her feelings about Monday Night Raw’s Netflix debut

With grand preparation, WWE’s flagship show Monday Night Raw is set to debut in streaming in January 2025. While the new possibilities have been exciting for fans, WWE is set to cut the runtime from 3 hours to 2 hours. AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone recently took to her Mone Mag newsletter to show her concern saying the the hour cut will restrict more talents to be featured in the brand. Also Read: Is Jimmy Uso Set To Join Roman Reigns at Bad Blood? Everything about Jimmy's Health Condition and Return Date"Now, let’s talk RAW. Word is that it's dropping from 3 hours to 2, and honestly, I’ve got mixed feelings about it. I’ve always loved having that extra hour because it gives more performers a chance to shine. Losing that time could mean fewer opportunities for the roster. It's hard enough for talent, especially women, to get TV time,” Mone wrote in her newsletter.
However, she also finds the silver lining in the Red brand’s shift to Netflix.
“The silver lining could be Netflix. With Netflix, I'm assuming (and hoping) there will be many new ways to showcase talent. In the end, I'm about more opportunities for talent, which leads to more entertainment for fans and more money for the business. It's the best way for all to win – especially the roster and fans," she added.WWE is all hyped up for the Netflix debut but the hour cut of the Red brand has raised a similar concern among fans as well. While Friday Night SmackDown is reportedly getting another hour to add to the current two-hour format, the Blue brand will stay on television as WWE has recently given the broadcast rights to the USA network. Currently, all three brands are under the USA network but NXT will shift to CW on October 1 and Monday Night Raw will make their Netflix debut in the beginning of 2025.
