"Not my favorite person": Cody Rhodes predicts rising superstar Dominik Mysterio's future in WWE

WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes has been in WWE Universe for quite a while now. With his grand return with the American Nightmare gimmick, Rhodes claimed his much-deserved spot at the top of the ladder. Now, looking at the rising superstar Dominik Mysterio, the champion made a bold prediction about his future in WWE.

Cody Rhodes predicts Dominik Mysterio's future in WWE

Dominik Mysterio, son of legendary WWE superstar Rey Mysterio, has been in his A-game with the top-tier storyline with Liv Morgan. With his Dirty Dom gimmick, he has been one of the top heels in the roster right now leaving the shadow of his father’s legacy attempting to create his own identity in the business. Thankfully, Dom has been successful in doing so. Amid his rising fame, WWE’s Universal Champion Cody Rhodes gave his verdict on the potential future of Dom in WWE.

“I look at somebody…not my favorite person, don’t really know him well, and what I know of him, he’s not the nicest dude,” Rhodes said of Dom during his chat with Good Karma Wrestling. “But somebody like Dom Mysterio. This guy was involved in a match for his own custody as a child and is now this wonderfully great contributor to WWE,” Rhodes continued.

“Whether they’re booing him out of the building or not, we like that. That’s an awesome thing to see. Him and Liv have had an incredible story. Dom is somebody that, if I’m looking at a story I want to watch and I can tune in to WWE in 15 years, I expect to see him in a completely different light,” the Universal Champion said.

Rhodes went on to add, “Nothing like we have now, a completely different light and a full evolution of his character.”

Dom is in the polar opposite spectrum in terms of character gimmick, while Dom has been a heel for some time, Rhodes returned to WWE as a babyface. However, despite differences, Dom has got the stamp of approval from the champion himself.

Dom’s on-screen romantic partner Liv Morgan is set to appear in a huge brawl with Rhea Ripley in the upcoming WWE PLE Bad Blood while he is locked up in a shark cage.
