Motor City Machine Guns Set for SmackDown Debut on 10/18

For weeks now, WWE has been teasing the arrival of new wrestlers by airing cryptic messages during both RAW and SmackDown. This week, the company followed suit and aired yet another cryptic message on SmackDown, but this one is more substantial than all the others. The message in question ended with the words “next week”, this making it clear that new talent will be arriving next week.


Now, after this message, Nick Aldis confirmed that a new tag team will be coming to WWE real soon. After combining the information from the vignettes aired by WWE and Aldis’ confirmation, it becomes all but clear that the ones being talked about are the Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. With their debut being just a week away, now would be the perfect time to take a look at what we can expect from the legendary tag team duo.

Motor City Machine Guns will shake up WWE’s tag team department

For a long time now, WWE has suffered in quality and star power when it comes to their tag team department. Apart from The Bloodline, A-Town Down Under and Fraxiom there aren't a lot of strong tag teams that the fans can get behind and be loud for. However, the arrival of Motor City Machine Guns can completely turn the situation around.

Both Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin are wrestling veterans at this point, and their exploits on the indie scene are known to all. Moreover, Shelley and Sabin were one of the best tag teams during their time in TNA. Now, with their move to WWE, the stakes for Shelley and Sabin will be higher than ever. Additionally, their competition will also be stronger than ever.

With all of this in mind, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that the Motor City Machine Guns will be able to go a step further following their debut on SmackDown next week.
