NEW DELHI: Negotiations between
WWE and Mercedes Mone, popularly known as
Sasha Banks, have reportedly come to an end. The talented wrestler, who walked out of WWE in May 2022, had been in talks with the company about a potential return, sparking hopes among fans. However, it now appears that a reunion between Sasha Banks and WWE is not on the horizon.
Fightful's Sean Sapp, reporting behind the paywall, revealed that WWE and Sasha Banks are no longer engaged in active negotiations. Despite friendly discussions, the two sides were unable to reach an agreement, leading to the discontinuation of talks from WWE's perspective.
The report also suggested that while the dialogue between Sasha Banks and WWE failed to progress, another source within the company believed that she might make an imminent appearance elsewhere. Possible destinations mentioned include AEW's Worlds End Show, NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom, and Impact Wrestling's rebranded Hard to Kill event in two weeks.
The uncertainty surrounding Sasha Banks's future has generated speculation about potential appearances in other wrestling promotions.
With major events lined up in various organizations, fans are eagerly anticipating where the highly sought-after free agent might land next.
It's worth noting that the wrestling landscape can be unpredictable, and developments can occur rapidly. While Sasha Banks's talks with WWE have ceased for now, the situation could evolve, similar to instances like CM Punk's return, which materialized just days before Survivor Series.
